Nathalie Emmanuel could've been perfect as Hannah Dodd's partner. Too bad Bridgerton makers didn't go "all in" on this sapphic storyline. Casting for gender swaps is a very challenging task. You have to choose someone- who can make a straight person say "I'd go gay for her". Mediocre casting is simply not my thing.

I did not like this change at all. I know adaptations are needed, but I do not care for radical changes. In my opinion the author must be respected. If she wrote the story in a certain way, that way it should be. Fortunately I have all the books and I can enjoy the stories as they are.

Netflix has cancelled all 3 lesbian shows produced in 15 yrs. Thats it 4 and they cancel them fast one season and regardless of high ratingd. "First kill" and Gyspy did good and netflix axe them. It feels like straight up gaybait for 3 seconds. No thanx!

Created by Luca Guadagnino who Directed Call Me By My Name, Bones and All and Challengers. Also a gay man. So no shocks it very gay show and wears it proudly on it's sleeve. This show didn't really catch on and I be surprised if it got a second season sadly. It just didn't feel like a show that had break out potential a bit like Irma Vep. It's very slow moving and not much happens, it's like a everyday life type show. It feels like a show that will be a cult hit. Definitely recommend it but it does get better as the show goes on. Also Kid Cudi is in it.

I actually watched this show and I got to admit I didn't love it as much as the reviewer did or the main lesbian love story in it. The show had major lulls and parts that could have done with either being cut out or cut down. This show would have been better for me as a 12 part miniseries then 2 season show that focused on two main characters, cutting out the friends/mum and work stuff and just been set in small port town. Even the Oscar murder stuff would slowly fell into the background and just been about these two women just falling in love and them finding happiness again. My favorite character of the show was Roberto Enriquez's Conrado, the police officer. Added a bit of steel to the show that was needed. Irene Acros's Veronica and Veronica Sanchez as Alejandra are also very good in this and have amazing chemistry, fair play to them they don't hold back with the nudity either. I have to give praise to Money Heist's Alvaro Morte as Oscar, although I thought he was way too much in the show for my liking. He still delivered a strong performance. Onto Veronica/Alejandra, I thought they did fine with it. I thought in season 1, we just didn't get enough of them together at all. I had to sit through Veronica/Oscar flashbacks (which took up a lot of shows time) and Alejandra going through a breakdown and sitting around with her mum and friends with the odd Oscar flashback. The little we did get was nice and the actresses had enough chemistry to sell me on it. And little Sol is so adorable as well. For me the ending of Season 1 would have packed more of a punch for me if we got more time between them on screen. Also another issue for me was the amount of cheating on the show was unbelievable. Season 2 was definitely a lot better then Season 1, we got far more Veronica/Alejandra scenes together but still too much Friends/Mum stuff and flashbacks. Although any first time viewers be warned, something reviewer didn't mention. For most of the 2nd Season, the show is a love triangle between Alejandra loves both Conrado and Veronica. Honestly I think you have more sex scenes between Conrado/Alejandra then you do with Veronica. And for a minute, I thought it was going to end with Alejandra pulling a Oscar by having Conrado in Valencia and Veronica in the port town and loving both. But they did have Alejandra chose Veronica in the end but damn they make you work for it. Also the show has another WLW stuff in it, with Alejandra's friend Katia's teenage daughter Ada having a relationship with her P.E Teacher. Doesn't get a ton of time but it's there. I would recommend the show, I don't think it's as great as the reviewer does, it's got too many flaws for me. Even Alejandra/Veronica romance doesn't get the focus that I would have wanted from it (plus you get the dreaded love triangle in Season 2, which does get a lot more time then you would want). Season 1 especially it's way too unfocused on by the show for crappy side stories about friends issues and flashbacks. Just don't go in expecting the lesbian romance to be front and center of the show cause it isn't but you do get the happy ending.

Seemed like a major step backwards for theo show in so many ways. It was a really disappointing season.

I was so thrown off and offended for Francesca by the fact her husband did not introduce her to his own cousin and regarded her almost like a stranger in this moment, that I completely misunderstood the moment and didn't see the queer eye, I just thought she was upset by the coldness of her husband and the apparently closeness he has with another woman, even if she's a cousin yeah. Maybe that will be part of it. Excited to see. But I was so thrown off by his aloofness here in total disrespect of his wife after the way he had treated her and her family so well thus far.
